In past elections candidate how to vote cards had to be registered with the VEC. But during health restrictions during the pandemic How to Vote cards can not be handed out. Also the election is a mail ballot. No central repository of candidates How to Vote Cards has been organised.
So Sustainable Fawkner has offered to host all North East candidate How to Vote cards as a community resource, enabling more informed voter choice.
This page will hopefully grow as How to Vote Cards become available. Please visit again.

Hosken Reserve Pledge
A Merlynston Campaign group is presently circulating a Hosken Reserve Pledge for candidates in all three wards to sign. This is about lack of transparency and consultation with local residents in upgrading a much used turf oval to a synthetic pitch. An online petition has garnered over 2,250 signatures.
A check of the Sports Surface Needs Analysis report from 2018 shows the expert consultant report in the Executuve Summary only recommended for Hosken Reserve that the Hosken South Oval be upgraded to a hybrid pitch, after a comprehensive assessment of all of Moreland’s Sports Surface Needs. The original masterplan in 2009 showed only a synthetic pitch for training on the Hosken North east field, with the oval remaining turf. The Masterplan shows that Pascoe Vale Football Club had advocated for just turning the premier grade Hosken South pitch already fenced to a full synthetic pitch.
Should you be elected as a councillor, or returning councillor, to City of Moreland in the upcoming 2020 election, do you pledge that at the soonest available opportunity you will take the below four actions:
1. Call for, and vote in favour of, deferring the awarding of any contracts in relation to the Hosken Reserve project, and
2. Call for, and vote in favour of, deferring any implementation work at Hosken Reserve, and
3. Call for a report to be prepared by council officers detailing all engagement and consultation which has been undertaken on the Hosken Reserve Masterplan since its inception with all stakeholders, including local residents, and
4. Advocate for full community consultation prior to inform the Hosken Reserve Masterplan before proceeding with any changes to the Hosken Reserve grounds
